My name is Shilan Zade, and I came to Canada over 20 years ago from a small city in the Middle East. My journey to Canada, a testament to resilience and hope, is a story many of you can relate to. Growing up amidst the conflict between Iran and Iraq, I carried my parents' aspirations with me, as they believed that Canada held the promise of a better life for our family.
Canada has been my home for over twenty years—where I've started my own family and faced numerous challenges. Despite this, I stand here today strengthened by the firm belief that we can overcome adversity and that Canada's best days are yet to come.
I'm ready to serve as the conservative voice in our vibrant communities. I take on this role with a deep sense of commitment. Drawing on my background balancing budgets for non-governmental organizations and advocating for women's rights, I've shaped my commitment to the community around faith, family, and fortitude principles.
I've raised my daughter with these values and am ready to take on the challenge of being your conservative MP.

British Columbia is at a crossroads, facing challenges that threaten the core of our cherished values. We must prevent government overreach and preserve the principles that define our nation's resilience. In Burnaby North-Seymour, we're confronting significant obstacles that demand our attention.
Radical NDP-Liberal experiments with hard drugs policy have made it so many of our loved ones have fallen victim to addiction, businesses closing, and families struggling financially. The increasing cost of living crisis brought on by irresponsible NDP-Liberal overspending threatens our livelihoods and future generations.
With your support, I aim to prioritize building a safer community, ending the carbon tax, getting more homes built, creating good-paying middle-class private sector jobs, supporting small businesses, and stopping the radical, brutal drug experiments of the NDP-Liberals.
I refuse to stand idly by in the face of daunting challenges. Enough is enough. It's time to roll up our sleeves, make change, and provide a better future for our children, security for our families, and hope for our community. I'm not just a candidate; I'm a neighbour ready to get to work to earn every vote for a future conservative majority government led by Prime Minister Pierre Poilievre.
